Dads love their kids! Dads teach us new things, cheer us on at sports games, help us to be brave, wipe away our tears and have fun with us!

I bet your dad has some great dad jokes too. How about these ones...

How many apples grow on a tree? All of them.
Why couldn’t the bike stand up by itself? It was two tired. Dad, I’m hungry? Hello hungry, I’m Dad

Where do you learn how to make Ice-cream? Sundae School.

What do you call somebody with no body and no nose? Nobody knows.

God gives us dads to love us, care for us, protect us and teach us. Your dad might be a hard working genius, a strong brave hero, the best BBQ chef or the funniest guy ever. No matter what your dad is good at, the best job he has is to love you! Today we take time to honour our dads. Did you know that honouring parents is the only commandment that promises long life as a reward; Ephesians 6:1-3 (CEV) “Children, you belong to the Lord, and you do the right thing when you obey your parents. The first commandment with a promise says, “Obey your father and your mother, and you will have a long and happy life.” God teaches us to honour our parents and we will have a looooong and happy life. That sounds pretty good to me! On Father’s Day no matter what the situation in your family is. Take the time and honour the men in your life. Who knows, you could live a loooooong life until you’re a 130!

This past Sunday we learned about the awesomeness of dadsl. Print out the picture below and color it in!
