THE LORD NEEDS YOU
The Bible tells us the true story of how Jesus lived his life, died on the cross, and rose again for us! But in order for people to know about it, believe, and be saved, they need to first hear about it! That is why the Bible says in Romans 10:14, “how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?” Thats where we come in - we have to tell people about Jesus!
Its a lot like when Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey - the donkey was not the star of the show, but Jesus still needed it to fulfill the prophecy about Him which said, “Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey” Zechariah 9:9
We have the exciting responsibility of sharing Jesus with others. We carry Him in our hearts, and others can see Him through us! The Lord needs you!!!
HOW DO I TELL PEOPLE ABOUT JESUS?
A lot of people are super worried about how they share the good news about Jesus. The simplest way is to just bring them to church! But if you ever want to tell someone about Jesus yourself, just keep it simple. Tell them about what Jesus means to you, and what He has done in your life. You can also share a little bit about why Jesus died (to take the punishment for our sins), and that He rose from the dead proving that He is the son of God! You don’t have to know all of the details in order for your sins to be forgiven by Jesus, you just need to have a relationship with Him! Check out the video below to see a super fun video of kids trying to tell the easter story the best they can! And remember, its okay not to have all the details right sometimes.. Especially when you’re a kid. Its all about the relationship with Jesus!
1. How do you think the best way to share the good news about Jesus with others?
2. What is the greatest thing Jesus has done in your life that you can share with others?
3. Why is it important to believe that Jesus rose from the dead?
