In despicable me, while it would have been easy for Gru to turn back to his life of villainy, he chose to stick with his decision to be good! The Bible talks about this in Galatians 6:9… “Do not grow tired of doing what is good for in the right time you will receive a harvest of blessing.” Gru like us had many obstacles along the way where he could have easily turned back into being a villain. We will have obstacles and struggles as well, but if we stay true to the good God has planned for us, He will bless us!

2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” Let’s continue to live in the new life we have in Christ! The new life we have in Him is so much better than any other life. Lets never go back to villainy!!!

Lets see if you have what it takes to not go back to villainy! Read these situations… What would you do?

1. Your mom made only enough cookies for your brother's class. She tells the family not to eat any. You really want a cookie, so you decide to take one. Mom notices a cookie is gone. What will you do? (Psalm 119:30Proverbs 19:5)

2. Pretend you're playing with another child who is younger than you. That child has a toy you want to play with. You could just take the toy if you wanted to. You could switch it with the toy you have. The other child might cry, but maybe you won't get in trouble if you pretend you didn't do anything. No one is looking now. What will you do? (Proverbs 3:31 John 3:18)

3. You're throwing a ball in the house and break your mom's favorite table decoration. Mom hears the crash and comes running to see what happened. If you tell the truth, you know you will be punished. You could say you accidentally bumped the table. What will you do? (Psalm 51:6Proverbs 12:22)
